Thank you for choosing Gulfgate Animal Hospital for your veterinary needs. We are a privately-owned, full-service veterinary hospital providing urgent care, wellness, and surgical services. We know pets are family, and we are grateful for your trust in our staff to treat them as such. Annual wellness examinations include careful evaluation of the following:

  • Eyes - It is essential to treat eye infections and other diseases quickly to prevent long-term changes that could affect your pet’s comfort and vision.

  • Ears - Many pets have issues with infections that can lead to chronic changes and pain in the ear canals.

  • Dental Health - We know oral hygiene can be hard to maintain at home. We assess your pet’s mouth for any signs of dental disease and oral infection that could eventually affect their heart health.

  • Heart & Lungs - We auscultate every patient to assess for murmurs or lung field changes.

  • Abdomen - Careful abdominal palpation helps ensure your pet does not have signs of pain or noticeable changes in the internal organs.

  • Urogenital - Males and females should be evaluated for infection and cancerous changes of the genitals.

  • Joints - Arthritis pain is one of the most common chronic conditions in pets. Early evaluation and medical management can help prevent the progression of these changes.

  • Coat & Skin - Infections, mites, fleas, and allergies are the most common acute conditions seen in veterinary patients. Recognizing these changes and providing appropriate treatment is crucial to keeping your pets healthy.
